Dollar Holler for Challenger SCD2 Little League
Organized by: MaryBeth Sprague
If each person that sees this donates $1.00 and SHARES this site, we can achieve HUGE things! My name is Mary Sprague, and I'm running the Challenger Division of Little League, we serve children ages 4-19 with all types of special needs, teaching them the game of baseball. Working with these children is the most amazing thing I've done in my life! Watching the kids hit the ball and score a home run is not only rewarding for them, but it shows others that despite limitations, we can achieve any goal. These kids deserve the best that life has to offer! This team is unique in many ways, but one of the reasons it's so special is because, with the help of our sponsors, we cover the cost of registration, we provide uniforms and equipment, and every player is recognized at the end of the season with a trophy for their hard work! That means that cost is not an issue for our players and their families! This is no cheap or easy task, but year after year we make it happen! We take pride in the fact that every coach, team mom, and buddy is a volunteer, there are no paid employees in our division! This year, we have an additional project, we would like to modify our field to be completely wheelchair accessible. Every game is a challenge for our kids with mobility issues due to the uneven ground on our field, the soft sand prevents us from getting the wheelchairs around the bases (we don't let that stop us, we will carry the chairs if we have to!!), the fences are shifting due to weather so the entry way from the dugout to the field is getting smaller and smaller by the season, and the parking lot is in desperate need of rocks or gravel. Please consider giving just $1.00 to our project, and then tell all your friends to do the same! Let's start a chain reaction of kindness and giving to make our dreams a reality!!
