Donations to Cuba
Organized by: Spencer Keeton Cunningham
I am traveling to Cuba during the month of May to paint walls through the Miami based gallery, J. Riggs, as well as help a non-profit organization known as Amigo Skate Cuba, who's goal is the preservation of skateboarding in Cuba. While in Cuba a film will be made. A portion of the funding given will be used to fund the film as well as help with other aspects of the project detailed below.
We are looking for any donations to give to people and kids there including skateboards (new or partially used decks, hats, shoes, clothing, etc), Art Supplies (Paint, brushes, etc), as well as tattoo equipment. These donations are given to a community of Cuban people who, when compared to the American standard, have almost no material possessions. Anything is appreciated. We are granted two 60 pound bags each to bring to the country. We are literally bringing nothing back. If you are interested in donating used or new items please contact Spencerkeeton@gmail.com
Before heading to Cuba, I am leaving California to drive cross country. Some funding will be needed to put fuel into the tank of my 1996 Subaru Impreza outback sport as it glides over the abandoned dusty plains of America. Its quite fuel efficient with 30mi/per gallon but I will need help funding the journey. I will be driving through the south across America. My destination is Miami where we will take off on a plane to Cuba. Anyone interested in donating anything in any of the southern states in between California and Florida, please get in touch by email. I will be updating this page:
during the trip as much as I can with locations and cities I will be passing through along the way. All additional funds not put directly into donations for people in Cuba and gas to get to Miami will be fully invested in the film made while we are there. It would be great if this project was overfunded. It would help greatly the more funding the better. Thank you
