Childhood should be a time full of hope, joy and endless possibility, but for a child battling serious illness it is often a time of isolation and fear.
As a member of Team Hole in the Wall I am participating in Professional Physical Therapy’s Charity Fitness Challenge on September 13th, 2014 to support The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp.
Founded in 1988 by Paul Newman, The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp is dedicated to providing “a different kind of healing” to seriously ill children and their families throughout the Northeast free of charge. The Camp helps children battling cancer, sickle cell anemia, HIV/AIDs and other serious illnesses to fight isolation and fear with fun, friendship and joy.
Camp served 288 children in its first summer. In 2014, through Camp programs, year-round outreach to hospitals, clinics and ongoing services, the Camp will serve more than 20,000 children and families thanks to the generosity of friends like you.
Our staff will be collecting pledges for each of the following challenges:
Push Up Challenge – Number of push ups in 60 seconds.
Sit Up Challenge – Number of sit ups in 60 seconds.
Plank Challenge – Every 15 seconds of duration in a single plank.
Attendees will get a chance to compete at each of the challenges for a minimum $10 donation.
You also get a chance to participate in the Head to Head Challenge.
For a $25 donation you can challenge any of the Staff members at any one of the 3 challenges.
The winner of each challenge will receive a prize!!!
Anyone who donates at least $10 gets a “Charity Fitness Challenge” sports wristband. The wristband will get you discounted drinks at the Post Challenge Celebration to be held at:
