BENEFITING: Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation
I have a dear friend who was recently diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF), which is a rare and non-curable lung disease of unknown cause. By joining forces individuals such as ourselves can make a difference in the lives of those affected by this disease. Think of the power of a group, and also think of how comforting it is for those affected to know others are trying to help and support them in their fight. All donations are meaningful and appreciated. I want to make difference, so in his honor I will be participating in the Detroit Free Press Marathon in October. I have been training, rickety knees and all to be able to successfully complete the 26.2 mile course. Speed isn't a top concern but there is a 6 1/2 hour time limit, and I expect I will need much of that time. As a team we can do great things. Please consider contributing, I will do the training and miles, and my good friend and his family will do their part of focusing on staying healthy and enjoying their time.
