Don's Greatest Battle
Organized by: Alan Gunkel
Don's story started back in January 2015 when he was diagnosed with a rare form of kidney cancer that had already advanced to his lungs. This was quite a shock to Don and his wife Sue as he had no symptoms anything was wrong except a persistent cough. After many tests, he was diagnosed with metastatic non-clear renal carcinoma stage IV. Since non-clear renal cancer is rare there are few proven treatments available so Don and Sue are currently pursuing clinical trials to fight this disease.
Don is self-employed and has not been able to work since December 2014. Sue continues to work so they have health insurance and can manage day-to-day bills, however, with the added significant medical expenses it is becoming increasing difficult to contend with. The treatment Don receives today gives him hope a cure will be found for this disease. There are trials available, but, Don needs your help with his medical bills, related travel expenses, and the effects of his lost wages.
Please pray for Don and his family for a miraculous recovery. Their faith in God and love for one another is priceless; however, help is needed now more than ever with the cost to battle this relentless cancer. We invite you to join together in making a pledge, of any amount, so they may continue seeking life-saving treatments for Don.
