DON'T Shave Scruffy's Mohawk

Organized by: Pawadise Pet Rescue

THE STORY:

It's very easy. We're raising money for Pawadise Pet Rescue and doing it the fun way. Scruffy is our own "foster failure", which is a good thing! She is about 7 months old female mutt. She is our fifth dog, part of the family and she is just pure awesomeness. She doesn't shed - needs to be groomed and I (Mirka here) gave her first haircut today because her hair was getting long, thick and dirty. She gets baths every week and her hair is always full of those little buggers she picks in grass on our walks. Anyway - we don't know what breeds she is mixed with but she must have a gene of Rhodesian Ridgeback since she has a permanent Mohawk. And it's not just a simple boring mohawk. It's long hair, tri-color mohawk that starts with brown color, blends in white and topped in black. Now - I kept the mohawk but trimmed everything else. So - she looks different (I think she is still cute). She feels better as she doesn't have that much hair on her. Point of this campaign is to raise money for our continues rescue efforts. We work with local rescue groups and bring dogs to Key West to get adopted in Pawadise. If you're on this page you are a kind soul that decide to donate and also would like us to NOT Shave Scruffy's Mohawk. There is another campaign going on that is in favor for SHAVING Scruffy's mohawk. The future of Scruffy's mohawk will be determined by whichever campaign raises more money. And it's all for good thing and since Scruffy's hair doesn't shed but grows back as peoples's hair, she'll be back to her "scruffy self" in no time ;)
