Double knee replacement pre-surgery expenses!
Organized by: Terry William
My knee problem started in the Navy because I had to run from the midsection and down 2 decks of ship to either the bridge for some drills or clear to aft and down again to the emergency electrical switchboard! On board ships the ladders (stairs) are extremely steep! The ten years I spent in the Navy started the damage to my knees and because I could still walk then I got out of the Navy! Now 30 years later my knees are just plain wore out, no meniscus left, so I am walking on bone to bone in that joint! The company I was working at found out I was going to be getting both knees replaced, making $53,000+ a year they laid me off during the time a few years back when everyone was laid off during the little depression in our economy! Not able to walk well I could not find any employer to hire someone which was handicapped, so I had no choice but to apply for Social Security! Which barely covers my home & car expenses, utilities, and food! So the money is to get me started, paying for $50 co-pays the x-rays, and MRI's, etc...! Once I get the surgery I'll set up a payment plan with them to pay that off! Thanks very much!
