This is the first time that I have ever requested a donation and worked with a charity. It is for a great cause that I truly believe in, and I hope some of you will help me in raising funds for them.
My charity is called the “Wounded Warrior Project”, which helps injured warriors returning from the battlefield and helps provide assistance to them and their families. Its mission is the following:
- To raise awareness and enlist the public's aid for the needs of injured service members.
- To help injured service members aid and assist each other.
- To provide unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of injured service members.
On July 27, 2014, I will attempt to run the San Francisco Marathon back to back for a total of 52.4 miles, a distance I have never accomplished before. I believe the organizers called this race “Worth the Hurt” for a reason. I am excited to give it a shot!
If you can, I would sincerely appreciate if you can join me in supporting the “Wounded Warrior Project” and believing in me.
