Pride of the Peake: Honoring Service Through Scholarships - May 11, 2017
Chesapeake College is recognizing Dr. Ruth Ann Jones, EdD, MSN, RN, NEA-BC, Sr. Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer for University of Maryland Shore Regional Health. Ruth Ann is a 43-year veteran of Shore Regional Health’s nursing team and administration.
Having graduated from the Macqueen Gibbs Willis School of Nursing, Ruth Ann has demonstrated an ongoing commitment to Chesapeake College as a member of the Chesapeake College School of Nursing advisory board and in her support of our nursing students. To honor Ruth Ann's commitment, we hope to raise $10,000 for an endowed scholarship in Ruth Ann’s name.

The Ruth Ann Jones Endowed Scholarship
The Ruth Ann Jones Endowed Scholarship will be awarded to any student who is a resident of Queen Anne’s, Caroline, Dorchester, Kent or Talbot County and is enrolled in a Health Professions Program, such as Registered Nurse, EMT, Certified Nursing Assistant, Surgical Tech, or Radiologic Tech. The scholarship requires a minimum 3.0 Grade Point Average and may be used for tuition, fees and textbooks.
