This event was created for an inauguration event for the Luke Jenson Sports Complex. Luke Jensen was a young boy who was diagnosed with leukemia in October 2007, a few weeks before his seventh birthday. He underwent chemotherapy and radiation treatment, along with two bone marrow transplants, before losing his battle to cancer in May 2010.
The day's celebration ended in fun event of a celebrity kickball game featuring teams captained by Clark County Commissioner Steve Stuart and Vancouver Mayor Tim Leavitt in 2012. The one of a kind event was too fun to end, so Dream Big Community Center adopted it and local community stars come out to play a friendly competitive game of kickball.
