The Dreamfar High School Marathon (DHSM) is New England’s first high school marathon training program. The concept is powerful and meaningful: the mentor-student relationships developed while putting in high mileage on the roads teachs at-risk high school students that anything is possible, even completing a marathon. With hard work, perseverance and guidance from dedicated mentors, young runners realize their potential as they train for the Cox Providence Marathon.
DHSM is in its fifth year and has a promising future to become a light that reminds us all there is still good in the world. It gives loners, outcasts, athletes, and real people the chance to become part of something incredibly special and lasting.
Like any non-profit, it needs financial assistance. Many of the kids involved cannot afford to purchase items needed to help make their marathon dreams happen: running shoes, technical running clothes, race entry fees, hydration and nutrition supplies, transportation to and from races, hotels in Providence, etc.
Any amount donated would be greatly appreciated and it all really does make a difference!
Thank you for your time, dedication and continued support.
