Dreams 2 Acts: Nicaragua 2016 (Cat's Early Fundraising)
Organized by: Cat Hamm
EVENT DATE Nov 17, 2016
In November, I was honored to visit Nicaragua with Random Acts. While we were there, we got to help with construction on the Free High School and install water filters and eco stoves in a rural Nicaraguan community. We also heard about and visited with other charities in the area, such as the Barrio Planta Project, a local community center. Being in Nicaragua was such a meaningful experience for me and I made some of the best friends I could have ever asked for.
Because I absolutely fell in love with Nicaragua and our mission there, I have decided that one of my goals for the New Year is to accompany Random Acts again on the 2016 trip. Although the official Random Acts fundraiser has not begun yet, I am setting up this page to raise money early. Every dollar I raise will be set aside until the official campaign starts, and then transferred onto that page. In order to return with Random Acts, I will need to be one of the first 25 people to raise $5,000.
Highlights of Last Year’s Trip:
I created a blog and photography page for my trip through my school Learning Portfolio last year. They can be found at cathammmedia.com under the Experiences tab.
