There are many little girls around the world in impoverished areas who have never owned a dress they could call their own. A lot of girls are wearing what we would call rags -- hand me downs that are falling apart. This group collects homemade dresses to distribute all around the world, including the U.S. I have already sewn and mailed 13 dresses that I sewed and would like to sew a lot more. However, the high-quality fabric (that can withstand repeated washings -- sometimes in a river) that I use retails for around $12 yard. I use anywhere from 1/2 yd. (for a baby) to 1 yd. for each dress, plus binding. I need help buying fabric. Thank you!
