BENEFITING: Alzheimer's Association
My grandmother has Alzheimer's disease. She moved to Indiana about 5 years ago to be closer to the family, and found a house about 10 minutes away in Noblesville. She was fine and everyone was happy. About 3 years ago, she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, but she didn't show any symptoms. About two years ago she was confused and walked out of her house. She didn't know who she was, or where she was, or why she was there. It was just a few weeks ago since her one year anniversary of living in a memory care unit at the Barrington on Guilford. She'll forget saying things and ask me 3-4 times the same conversation, ask about people who have passed away years ago, and will even forget who I am at times. Alzheimer's has changed my life forever, and now I want to change Alzheimer's forever. I'm raising money for the Alzheimer's Association, in an effort to find a cure for once and for all. For every $100 dollars we raise my friends and I at school are going to dress up in funky and funny costumes. I want to make change, and hopefully you will too.
