BENEFITING: Big And Little Skills Academy
Dribble Against Cancer began in 2015 with a two-part goal of teaching the value of compassion through service, while promoting holistic health through physical activity, nutrition, and yoga amongst New York City youth. For 1-mile, youth dribble basketballs alongside the Brooklyn Bridge, while friends and family hold signs raising awareness on pediatric cancer, a leading cause of death among children. Youth participate in basketball, yoga, and nutrition workshops led by top instructors of the Big and Little Skills Academy. There is music, healthy foods, and giveaways, all in efforts to promote holistic health and to raise funds towards awareness, research, treatment, and ultimately a cure for pediatric cancer.
