Resilient Communities

Support our mission by creating your own fundraiser.

The Disaster Recovery International Foundation’s vision is to promote ‘Resilient Communities Worldwide’.  Resilience is the ability to bounce back from adversity and recover stronger. We focus on sustainable resilience activities over immediate relief with the goal of empowering communities to help themselves.  We pursue our vision by promoting disaster risk reduction through partnership and education and aiding recovery efforts through fundraising and volunteerism.

Donations After Disasters

We partner with non-profit organizations in communities impacted by disasters and award them grant money to help where it is needed most. We make in-kind donations like personal preparedness kits and blankets.

Veterans Outreach Program

The DRI Foundation is committed to helping our veterans succeed. To do our part, the Foundation has created a Veterans Outreach Program (VOP) to help our Veterans realize their dreams and help both themselves and their respective organizations achieve great success as they transition into the professions of emergency response, crisis management, business continuity and disaster recovery.

The DRI Foundation Scholarship

We believe that educating our youth about the importance of disaster preparedness today is key to guaranteeing a more resilient community in the future. Made possible through donations from DRI and DRI Canada, the DRI Foundation Scholarship is the result of our commitment to education. In addition to providing information about academic performance and volunteer activities, scholarship applicants are asked to write an essay on a topic of interest to our profession.

Community Resilience

We engage DRI certified disaster management professionals to volunteer in their communities.
