Semillas de Amor (Seeds of Love) is an amazing home and school for once abandoned children in Parramos, Guatemala. I had the pleasure of visiting and meeting the children and staff in February, 2012 and I have since become extremely passionate about doing my part to help these amazing children not only survive, but to continue to safely continue to thrive with the good values, education, health, love and respect that they receive at Semillas de Amor that they most likey would not receive otherwise.
In short, international adoptions in Guatemala were stopped in 2007 so what was once a temporary home for orpahned babies, is now a home and school for these 25 children. The entire facility is run on the generous donations and contributions of others. No grants, no government assistance - ALL donations. In addition to the $18K per month operating fees required to keep the home and school open, funds are needed for other specific initiatives (purchasing beds as the children grow, purchasing a van to transport children safely, etc. This is where you can help!!
Please join me in helping me reach my goal of raising $5,000 by February, 2013 marking my 1 year anniversary of meeting these children. You can make a monetary donation right here on through this site. All you have to do is click on the orange DONATE button.
If you would like to contribute in other ways, have fundraising ideas, want to be a team member or would like more information, please contact me!
