Semillas de Amor (Seeds of Love) is an amazing home and school for once abandoned children in Parramos, Guatemala. I had the pleasure of visiting and meeting the children and staff this past February and I am extremely passionate about helping these sweet kids not only survive, but to continue to safely thrive with good values, education, health, love and respect which is the main mission of the home & school.
In short, international adoptions in Guatemala were stopped in 2007 so what was once a temporary home for babies, is now a home and school for these 25 children. The entire facility is run on the generous donations and contributions of others. In addition to the montly operating fees, funds are needed for for specific initiatives and that is where we come in!!
They are in desperate need of a large van so that the children (and volunteers and staff) can be safely transported from the remote and bumpy hills of Parramos to other areas of Guatemala. Right now, they pile into the back of a pick-up truck which obviously isn't safe for anyone, let alone these precious little ones! And I can tell you firsthand, it is a Bumpy ride!
Please join me in helping meet their goal by making a monetary donation by clicking on the orange DONATE button.
