Three years ago my life changed when a dear friend was diagnosed with Lymphoma. She was fortunate to have a large group of family and friends to provide support during her battle. There was always a meal for her family, a car ride to chemotherapy and a shoulder to lean on. Unfortunately not everyone has this support system in place. Around this time, my family came across an incredible charity, STOMP the Monster. Their mission statement really hit home...'STOMP The Monster™ provides financial and other support to cancer patients, their families, and caregivers when they need it most – during their fight with the disease.' As we got involved with this organization, we grew to understand that many people need assistance with simple things we take for granted. Many patients can't afford transportation to treatment or need assistance paying bills while undergoing treatments.
Jen and I have spent the past three years raising money for STOMP and take great pride in knowing that the money raised goes right to those fighting cancer when they need it most. I was hesitant to ask for donations...again...as many of you have been so generous in the past. I decided that I would continue to ask until we have a cure for cancer! On November 2nd, I will be running the NYC Marathon with the STOMP the Monster team. I am asking again for any donation you can give. No amount is too small...and no amount is too big!
Cancer can affect anyone at any time and we have all been touched by this dreaded disease. I ask that you take a moment and go to www.stompthemonster.com and read STOMP the Monster: The Story.
Thank you as always for your generosity.
