Recovering from Theft: David Talley Photography
Organized by: Jennifer Hulett
This week my brother had his livelihood, bible & EVERYTHING essential to run his photography business stolen from him. EVERYTHING. (Please see the comments in his own words below.)
My heart is broken for him and this fuels my desire to be of service and help. I want to make it CLEAR that David did NOT ask for any financial help; however I feel that such a gifted young man that I am SO very proud to call my brother could use a helping hand or 10.
No contribution is too small. Please share this, invite your friends, post and repost (please use hashtag #davidtalleyphotorecovery) and let’s get this amazing man back in business!!!
You can find him on facebook, personally and professionally by searching "David Talley" or "David Talley Photography"
In David's own words:
“My camera bag, a Vanguard Brand camera backpack (black with orange accents) was STOLEN from my vehicle in the Haight and Ashbury district of San Francisco. The bag contains my 13 inch MacBook Pro, Canon 5D Mark II camera with battery grip and Sigma 50mm 1.4 lens, Wacom editing tablet (green and black), Seagate 1tb Hard Drive (containing ALL of my client work and current projects), as well as literature and my bible, chargers, etc.
I and a few others are currently searching the area, as well as putting in a police report with SFPD.
If anyone reading this in the San Francisco area can be on alert for these items, it would be incredibly appreciated. My livelihood as a business and artist are contained within the contents of this bag.”
“Exploring near Buena Vista Park. This is also the spot where I learned that my camera bag was stolen. I've filed a police report with SFPD along with serial numbers, and am staying the day in Modesto with my buddy Max, until the find my iPhone feature (hopefully) locates the MacBook. If there is no word on the items today, I will be heading back to Los Angeles via Amtrak.
I currently own nothing more for my business and passion than my phone, clothes, mindset, and heart, but I will rebuild. This is nothing more than a reference point. I WILL change the world and I have even more motivation now than EVER before to do just that. Than you all for your support on my journey - in a year from now, we'll look back in this situation in admiration. I fear nothing for the future. I have everything to gain, and now, more than ever before, I have everything to give.”
