THE STORY:

The University of Oregon's Fraternity and Sorority Life is partnering with O-Heroes, UO Habitat for Humanity Campus Chapter and the Service Learning Program to sponsor a Habitat for Humanity Build to benefit the local Eugene/Springfield community.

Duck Build is aimed towards bringing the University of Oregon’s student body together to fundraise and organize volunteers in order to build a house to benefit the local Eugene/Springfield community.

The process of constructing and establishing a home through Habitat for Humanity will include fundraising, education, marketing, outreach and volunteering. A Leadership Team (comprised of a representative from each campus group) will oversee Committees in Volunteer Coordination, Fundraising and Marketing/Outreach. The committees are currently brainstorming and putting ideas in action in order to get this Duck Build started!

Duck Build is a huge project and it will only be successful if we have the help of the entire student body. Through this adopted project, different organizations will come together as one for the greater good, building relations between different communities on and off campus.

About Habitat for Humanity: Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit organization founded on the idea that every man, woman and child should have a decent, safe and affordable place to live. Habitat builds for people in need, regardless of race or religion. We welcome volunteers and supporters from all backgrounds.
