Every year we have a very special day set aside for women who are victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse. The Day of Pampering is an entire day designed to help give these women back their sense of self-worth and give them the confidence they need to move forward.
We provide the survivors with on-site child care and then pamper them with services such as manicures, pedicures, facials, massages, and makeovers. In addition, we have professional counselors on site to provide therapy as well as career and spiritual counseling. Donated business attire is also available so that our survivors can "shop" for clothes to wear on those job interviews! Lunch is catered, and we want to provide each survivor with a take-home bag full of goodies and tools to help them maintain their new look and their new vision for the future.
This year's event is to be held on Saturday, May 5, 2012
For more information about the event and to arrange to have a survivor attend, please visit our event page on the Duffy House website.
