BENEFITING: DUNCAN TREE FOUNDATION
The launch of the Duncan Tree Foundation Scoliosis Care Fund is part of our global reach to provide medical care to the economically challenged. Begun as a joint effort with Global Giving in 2011, the Duncan Tree Foundation Scoliosis Care Fund is expanding that mission. Our goal is to help 25 children in Jamaica with scoliosis to get free corrective spine surgery—and to broaden that help to additional children in Jamaica and in other parts of the world.
Dr. Sheila Campbell-Forrester, Former Chief Medical Officer of Jamaica will introduce the Fund, and we will honor the extraordinary work of Oheneba Boachie, MD, Chief of the Scoliosis Service at the Hospital for Special Surgery, with the First Duncan Tree Foundation Humanitarian Award.
The Benefit will also feature live performances by Metropolitan Opera soprano Beverly Withers, the Kaphar Dance Company, and the band SoDisrespectful.
Duncan Tree Benefit tickets may be purchased for $50, $75 and $100 for individuals, and $250, $500 and $1,000 for corporate sponsors.
