The CrowdRise Holiday Challenge is the best way ever for organizations to rally their supporters, raise money for their cause, drive engagement, get lots of awesome exposure and, most importantly, raise money for their cause. We said the raise money part twice on purpose.
For the seond year Dutchess Outreach Inc. is participating in the CrowdRise challenge. We think we've got what it takes to go the distance and claim that prize of $100,000.
What could we do with that money? Excuse us while we slip into a philanthropic day dream.
$100,000 means we'd wouldn't have to worry about our supply order to the food bank. $100,000 means that when a client asks for something a little special (like eggs), we could always respond "yes we do!"
$100,000 means we could provide groceries for over 16,000 people. Thats four times the amount we served last year! 16,000!
Can we do it? We think so, but even if that prize goes to another organization, we're not going to cry into our pillow.
Because whatever we managed to collect is still going to help. We set a goal of $14,260. It seems random, but it was based on the amount of fans we have on Facebook. Since we set that goal, more fans liked our page. If all of our supporters gave just $10 -
Pardon us while we slip into another philanthropic day dream.
And, this year we're doing something really crazy huge on #GivingTuesday, December 2nd, as a part of the Challenge. We can't give away all the details quite yet but let's just say that it's so awesome that organizations like The NFL, March of Dimes, Robin Hood, Uber, 92Y, Eventbrite, It Gets Better, UNICEF, United Airlines and The UN Foundation are all involved. It’s going to be massive. And tall. And really amazing. Even if you don't win a grand prize, you get to keep the money you raise. So, so awesome.
