Dutch Pet Care Foundation or in Dutch 'Stichting Bevordering Huisdierenwelzijn', is a nonprofit Dutch Foundation that provides free pet food and supports with acure veterinary care to pet owners who rely on the Food Bank.
Our mission: Feeding pets (dogs and cats) of poor people, pet food submitted through local food banks and providing support for acute emergency veterinary care to their pets. We believe in the importance and healing power of pets and the human-animal bond. Pets give to us their unconditional love and comfort. No pet should go hungry or suffer.
The Foundation supports the pet owner who temporarily cannot provide sufficient care for the animal: good nutrition, good health and safety. The foundation also provides a platform for general advise for well being of their pet and for information and help for acute veterinary support for an ill or injured pet.
Our action includes the following:
Promote to veterinarians and pet related businesses the importance of joining to help poor peoples pets. Campaign to food distributing organizations about the importance of sponsoring pet food. Speak out on the issue of poor peoples pets and to seek for and provide funding to veterinarians and other nonprofit organizations who provide veterinary care.
*We cannot always guarantee funding as our Foundation fully relies on voluntary donations from the public.
