I am a clinical social worker at Hill View Retirement Center. Originally from Canton, my husband John and I moved to Portsmouth eleven years ago. We are the parents of two daughters and the proud Grandparents of one grandson.
My dancing experience includes three years of ballet and tap. Although that was a long time ago, I still enjoy dancing today and will be dancing with Jordan Nickels to raise money for the local American Red Cross.
I was a volunteer with the Red Cross for ten years while in Canton and donated blood as well as financial support. A founding member of the Stark County Rape Crisis Center and the Stark County Battered Women’s’ Shelter, I volunteered on the hotline and served as an advocate.
In my spare time I enjoy genealogy, refinishing furniture and traveling.
As a long time supporter of the Red Cross, I wanted to participate in DWOS for the fun and challenge it offers. I have great respect for the Red Cross’s work and the services they offer. As a Social Worker, I have relied on the Red Cross to help my clients. They have always done their best to provide what was needed or help me find another organization that could help out.
