We're raising money for spinal cord research at the Reeve-Irvine Center.

It started with a conversation about the National Sales Meeting being moved up a month to November and the challenge it presented to growing a decent mustache. It dawned on us that not only would it not present a challenge, but we could use this opportunity to help raise funds for a cause that is important to the Shimano/Pearl Izumi family - spinal cord research with the possibility of regeneration and repair of spinal cord injuries.

And with that "DynaStache" was born.

The funds raised will benefit Research For Cure which provides funding to the Reeve-Irvine Center Research Center for Spinal Cord ResearchRoughly 1.3 million people in the United States live with the challenges of paralysis caused by spinal cord injury (SCI). At Reeve-Irvine Research Center, scientists are working at the edge of discovery, where they are focused on repair, regeneration and recovery of function after SCI. Success could have far-reaching impact, potentially benefiting individuals with traumatic brain injury, stroke or neurological diseases such as Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease and multiple sclerosis.

We would like to thank Red Lion Hotels for their financial support of our event, and donating giveaways to our prize pool.
