As most of you may already know, a devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit Nepal on April 25, 2015 claiming thousands of lives (death toll still rising) and leaving many more injured and homeless. This has been described as the worst earthquake in the country in over 80 years. The infrastructure has been greatly damaged, houses/buildings have been reduced to rubbles with many feared to be still trapped underneath, and hospitals have been flooded with injured victims. The Nepalese community needs all help possible to restore and rebuild lives that were destroyed during this tragedy.
Relief efforts are ongoing to deal with the aftermath of this horrifying event. This includes providing earthquake survivor's with food, clean water, fuel, hygiene products, and shelter. We, the Nepalese Students Organization (NSO) at the Ohio State University (OSU), are calling upon you for your support, at any level, during this dire hour. All funds generated will directly go to supporting the relief and recovery efforts for victims of the earthquake.
