BENEFITING: Progress Inc.
EVENT DATE: Oct 19, 2013
The 2nd Annual E.N.D. (East Nash Dash) at Five Points is a four-mile run that will guide hundreds of runners through Five Points, East End and Shelby Park all with the goal of raising funds for adults with disabilities and seniors that Progress supports. It was one of the highest attend runs on Nov. 3, 2012, and including local business supporters like Nashville Running Company, First Tennessee, Qualifacts, Fat Bottom Brewing, Five Points Pizza and many others.
The benefit run can bridge the gap in funding, and connect Progress with hundreds of Nashvillians that would otherwise not know about our mission. We are looking to exceed the goal set last year by raising $20,000 to cover the costs of putting on the run, which will include the cost of closing roadways, race day supplies, timing services, t-shirts and marketing materials. After covering the operating costs, we hope to raise $8,000 to subsidize the part of our Day Services budget not covered by government funding.
