Eating Recovery Center: Gift Bundles
Organized by: Vero Lecocq
Eating disorders are the worst. I mean that. They suck.
I have personally struggled with EDNOS and anorexia for years. I am, at long last, stable and doing well. I owe much of this success to the incredible Eating Recovery Center of Denver. I am not exaggerating when I say that facility saves lives.
I cherish and support every patient who does battle with an eating disorder. I know it's hard. It's the hardest thing most patients will ever do in their lives, and a harder thing than many non-patients can even imagine. I also know, from personal experience, that it is easy to become discouraged, downtrodden, and desperate when the holidays come and go and you are without friends or family, locked in a hospital, fighting for your life.
That is where you, dear reader, enter in. I am raising funds to provide gift bundles to the patients of the Eating Recovery Center of Denver this holiday season. It may not sound like much in the face of an eating disorder, but the message to each and every patient that he or she is loved, remembered, and supported is worth more than words can say.
I need to raise money for SEVENTY gift bundles. They will run roughly $30 a piece. Then there will be a few other costs associated with shipping, processing, gift-wrapping, et cetera.
Please, please, PLEASE: if you can help at all, in any way, do so. The suggested donation, of course, would occur in a denomination of $30, $60, or $90, but I would be overjoyed to receive a donation of any amount. Any amount. My gratitude for every cent will be immense.
I encourage you to put your money to one of the best uses I can imagine today.
