BENEFITING: American Diabetes Association, Inc.
EVENT DATE: Aug 06, 2015
As some of you may know, each year I host a birthday challenge in the name of social good. This year, I can't think of a worthier cause than to raise dollars toward diabetes research. Growing up I watched my eldest brother, Ricky, triumph over this disease most of his life. Ultimately, he passed away on May 11th at the age of 42. Even when his body failed him, his spirit remained strong and unmoved. To honor Rick's courage and resilience, I'm partnering with the American Diabetes Association (ADA) to create a living memorial that funds research, prevention and eventually a cure to diabetes.
My twenty-something birthday is quickly approaching on August 6th. At the same time, the ADA is commemorating a remarkable occasion of their own - their 75th Anniversary! Their mission is to prevent and cure diabetes, and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes. If you'd like to celebrate my special day with me, please consider making a donation of any amount to the ADA. I believe I speak on behalf of my family and myself when I say thank you for your generosity, love and support as we honor Rick's life. I couldn't be more proud to share in his legacy. -xoxo, Eb
PS. If you share this campaign, please use the hashtag #RememberingRick so I can find/track/thank you accordingly. <3
