USeb is a 501(3)© nonprofit corporation (www.ebsurvivors.org) dedicated to promoting & increasing the independence, self-reliance, & self-esteem of people living with a debilitating skin disease called Epidermolysis Bullosa or EB. EB is characterized by severe blistering of the skin that results in chronic open wounds that cover large surfaces of the body. People with EB can suffer malnutrition, persistent infections, anemia, disfiguration of the hands & extremities, cancer & even death.
Our mission is to provide services that will assist people with EB in becoming more independent through social, rehabilitative, educational & occupational opportunities. We value self-reliance because it inspires individual productivity, builds self-esteem, & heals the dignity of the soul. This enables people with EB to not merely cope, but to rise above their disease, help others to do the same, & to live the life they’ve always dreamed.
All donations are tax-deductible.
