The Jewish Community Center of Greater Ann Arbor holds routine fire (& other emergency) drills several times each year to improve overall safety. This past winter, Early Childhood Center staff suggested a physical improvement to our grounds which would increase the evacuation speed for infants during snowy winter days. To increase the maneuverability of emergency cribs across our grounds the Ann Arbor JCC would like to install a sidewalk that can be thoroughly cleared of snow and ice, and would extend from the infant-toddler building exit to our main sidewalk. This will serve as a more effective emergency route than is currently established to get children to safety, regardless of the conditions on the grounds. Please support the installation of this important safety improvement.
