Help ECLC of New Jersey's P.R.I.D.E. Program purchase a new stove to keep their pretzel business growing. At our P.R.I.D.E. Program for adults with special needs, something is always cooking. "Pretzels Made With Pride" is part of P.R.I.D.E.'s in-house business venture called P.R.I.D.E.CO. Through "Pretzels Made With Pride," clients make and sell pretzels for holidays and special occasions and the funds go back into supporting their program. They need a new stove to melt chocolate and other ingredients used to flavor the tasty pretzels. The P.R.I.D.E. Program (Promoting Responsibility, Independence, Decision-making, and Employability) is an adult day and evening self-directed habilitation program for developmentally disabled individuals in need of continued education, training and activities. Our clients have been diagnosed with special needs, including autism, Down syndrome and severe learning and/or language disabilities. P.R.I.D.E. serves 115 clients at its Morris County center and 18 clients in its Bergen County location. P.R.I.D.E. offers a safe, positive, stimulating and supportive environment, which enables and empowers its clients to develop their life goals. Tax ID 26-2830786

Founded in 1970, ECLC of New Jersey is a nonprofit that offers "Education, Careers and Lifelong Community" to children and adults with special needs.

ECLC runs two schools, in Chatham and Ho-Ho-Kus, N.J., educating nearly 300 children with acute special needs from ages 5-21. As students prepare to graduate, our employment affiliate, Community Personnel Services (CPS), provides transition services, helping students find meaningful jobs in their communities, placement in our P.R.I.D.E. day/evening program, continuing education or another option. Our goal is find the best fit for our graduates to continue learning and growing in the adult world.

The ECLC Foundation supplements funding for all of these entities and supports afterschool and evening activities, therapeutic horseback riding, respite weekends (overnights), alumni enrichment classes, adult services and capital projects. Learn more about ECLC at
