Educate a child, Change a Nation.
Organized by: John Wamwea Mathenge
I am John Wamwea Mathenge from Kenya, I am a teacher at Hillstead School a Christian school in Kenya that offers ACE Curriculum ( Accelerated Christian Education). Kenya has a system of education called 8.4.4 which teaches students to pass exam and not to make good use of themselves and others. The system produces the best engineers, teachers, doctors, security officials and other important people in the society but they lack morals and characters. These make the Government officials that are corrupt. Corruption brings harm to our nation, Doctors who are corrupt never has enough salary, they sell drugs meant to treat the people who pays them and those people lack the crucial service that they paid taxes to get. The language in hospital, abusing sick people for coming to get the treatment which you are trained to give. The security officers are so corrupt that they even receive bribes from the terrorist who are coming to kill the Kenya citizens, Some of the officers go the extent of killing their colleagues on behalf of the terror groups. Example on 16th July 2016 in kapenguria Kenya a police officer sent by Alshabab killed 7 of his colleagues. In 2015 over 64 Kenya died in the hands of terrorist in Lamu in the kenyan coast, the weapons used to kill people had been transported by a Kenyan police vehicle. The 8.4.4 system of education didn't build characters in them. It showed them you can only do anything for money. Our politicians have led this country to civil unrest, animosity against one another, Kenyans have become tribalists we almost went into genocide in 2007/8 due to lack of character in our leaders. The same leaders who are in our government. Our best graduates produced by the 8.4.4 system of education in Kenya have the best people that terror groups are getting to make explosives for them. They use the same education offered to them to hurt their very country. They lack character. The ACE system of education is building character in students as well as keen on producing the best professionals, The system is new in Kenya however accepted by the kenyan education ministry. The system is costly for a normal kenyan child who live only on one meal and sometime none. The books used in learning are from south Africa and are called PACES. I am requesting well wishers to help us buy PACES for those who can't and want to change this nation in future. We would wish to bring up professionals with character. Aid us so that we acquire the PACES for them too. The school has over 140 children who we have not been able to buy the PACES for we do photocopy which is not allowed by the system. The school is under The living faith ministries with Bishop jack kamere Thank you. my email address is John.email@example.com
