Need for Project
Kenosis Foundation in India working with women and children found, the tool of literacy is the primary building block for poverty reduction & human development; providing opportunities for effective social & economic growth. In most of these under-developed areas; the literacy rate of girls, over age 15, is as low as 8%. Impoverished children must not be forced into being domestic servants & slave laborers; or be trapped into illicit activities. Many parents can't even afford pens or pencils.
Scope of Project:
School drop-outs and children who have never attended school. Provide high quality, relevant, education through learning centers. Encourage enrollment and provide access to primary education. Empower community development and mobilization. Make learning and sharing joyful. Enable each child to be an independent thinker and seek to expand knowledge.
Enroll 80% of girls in schools. Provide higher education. Enable skill development. Avoid marriages of minors.Increase student attendance. Totally reduce drop-out rate. Increase parental participation. Provide training for teachers. Continually monitor performance. Mentor parents and children.
Kenosis Foundation is the implementing organization; registered since 2013. (Reg # BK IV BNGBMG 166/2013-14). It is a government certified (CN: 12435/2014-2015) charitable organization. Main office - Bangalore City, Karnataka State, South India. Non-governmental organization [NGO] provides jobs and sustainable income projects or businesses for women; also educational opportunities for girls, from underdeveloped communities, who have no access to schools. Children will be enrolled in private schools where they receive an excellent education through the 12th grade; then given opportunity to pursue a college degree or certification in an occupational training program.
