During my trip to Tanzania, Africa, I saw first hand how a kindergarten class is extremely under privileged and under funded. These children are brilliant and deserve better learning conditions. The conditions are so poor that there is a mother and child actually living at the school.
I made a promise to them and myself that I would do something to help. I am in talks with the educational director and he has informed me that the school desperately needs schools supplies.
We would like to raise $2,000 to pay for the following supplies: bass guitar, djembe drums, computer reparations, documentary films and books.
It may not seem like much but it is a great start to helping these children. These items can also create opportunity for sustainability. By learning to play instruments it creates the potential to generate income as performers. Also, the instruments can be handed down to the next generation or others who may want and need but dont have.
