Here at Earth Month Network we are on a campaign to bring Environmental Education Initiatives K-12 to all the remaining states here in the USA that do not have programs. Some 50, 000 schools in the USA have some sort Environmental Education pertaining to the natural environment but is on a very limited basis. It is not just about our natural environment but encompasses the physical, social and economic aspects of ones total environment.

Students that are in K – 12 grades; administrators and teachers, parents as well as local businesses have to become actively involved in the process. It is a process of Communication, Cooperation and Collaboration. This is in part an online program to apply to public, private, charter, religious and even home school programs. It is presented and available to ADA students were not student is left inside.

A knowledge based program developed around earth science, progressing to environmental science and ecosystem dynamics, agriculture; just to name only a few out of 90 topics. Student will learn how to see social and economic impacts when things are done. The need to develop after school programs and environmental clubs is essential. Each grade can then become a building block as vocabulary and terms are learned and projects can be done according to grade level modules online and in the classroom. There is peer to peer learning. The program is compatible with Next Generation Science Standards and for those States that have new CORE Standards.

Environmental education and activities foster self-esteem, problem solving & working skills, social skills, communication, cooperative work ethics through collaboration, appreciation, accountability, good stewardship, citizenship and much more. It better prepares students for life’s challenges no matter the course they chose.

The current cost of the program is approximately $25.00 for the 13 years of a student. There are several other States that have similar programs but has not yet reached all of the states. It has become a requirement that the proposals to the states include draft legislation and be state specific. All of this is not an easy task, and becomes time consuming and costly.

With your help, we can get this done, here our on our website.

Thank you in advance for you valuable contribution!

As a teaching professor, Early development is an integral part of of the whole person or student before they are set out into society. Current cultures do not adequately prepare them for what they face today, let alone face in the future. Knowing their evirons and how to work in and dealt with them is necessary and imperative for growth and survival. 5 years ago
