The World-Class Education Project
Organized by: Jennii Fielding
Utah State University's Education Department will be offering an essay contest for high school seniors, teachers, and parents in Utah. Participants will write an essay discussing education policy in the United States, and the winners will have the opportunity to read their essays to Utah legislators and the Utah Board of Education. Winners will be granted scholarships, classroom funding, or an uesp account for their children's education. We hope this event will bolster enthusiasm in Utah citizens to improve America's poor world ranking in education, give the people most affected by our education system a voice in education policy, and start finding concrete solutions to these problems.
We will use your donations for scholarships, classroom money, parent awards, marketing, website hosting fees, and the funds to put on the education event with Utah legislators and Board of Education.
All funds will be used to benefit the participaiting students and teachers, but if you want your name officially written on the scholarships or awards, we have a few simple requirements.
For the scholarships we require a minimum $3,000 donation.
For the teacher or parent awards, we require a minimum $1,000 donation.
Please make a note on your donation submission of which catergory you would like to donate to, or we won't know where to put your name!
