I've known Eileen for over 4 years. We met at work and quickly became friends. Shortly after, she found out she was pregnant and gave birth to her 3rd child, a perfect baby boy! Eileen is one of those women who makes you wonder how she does it all, working a demanding, fast paced job, raising 3 young boys, fitting in date night with her husband and always with a smile on her face. She is a force to be reckoned with! In April 2014, her whole life changed. During a routine visit to her gynecologist, her doctor found a lump. She immediately sent her for a biopsy, and shortly after she was diagnosed with Stage 3 Breast Cancer. Eileen is a daughter, wife and mother to 3 young boys who at the time were ages 9, 2 and 10 months old.
She immediately started treatment which included:
• 5 months of Chemotherapy
• 1 year of Immunotherapy
• A Lumpectomy to see if it spread, which it had
• 6 weeks of Radiation
• And made the decision to have a Bilateral Mastectomy
In July 2015, after a year and a half of this nightmare, she was officially declared in remission!
Then in September 2015, her Breast Cancer had returned and metastasized to the skin. Her only option for treatment was another round of Chemotherapy, which clearly had not been successful last time. When Eileen asked what her other options were, her doctor told her, “Some peoples’ chapters are longer and others are shorter.” For a mother of 3 young sons, that was an unacceptable answer!
Eileen began exploring an alternative path of holistic treatment.
• I Year of Gene Therapy Vaccines- which her skin immediately responded to and she saw a reduction of the cancer
• Working with a Naturopathic Physician to completely rebuild her immune system
• Pairing the holistic medical path with regular testing and blood work from her Oncologist.
Eileen is still in the process of fighting her Breast Cancer Battle. She has to continue her treatments for at least another 6 months. Insurance does not cover any of them. Her out of pocket costs average between $1,800- $2,500 each month. Currently Eileen can not work and they have become a single income household, while raising 3 young boys. Please help this amazing family beat their cancer fight!
