My name is Samantha Hubert and on November 1st, 2015 I will be participating in the New York City Marathon. Not only will I being training hard to reach my goal time, but I will also be working to raise money for the EJ Autism Foundation. The foundation’s mission is to create Autism Awareness and to support programs and schools on Long Island that currently work with children on the spectrum. The great thing about this organization is that they are all about giving back locally. Your donations will be used toward children in schools and programs in the community. This past year I have been exposed to the Autism community when I began working with Jackson Iallonardi. Jackson has autism and works day in and day out with therapists and teachers in hopes to improve life skills. Through all of his hard work and daily challenges, you can find him with the most infectious smile that can light up any room. Although his autism limits his communication, he doesn't let that stop him from showing his big personality. Jackson has taught me so much this past year and inspired me to raise money for the EJ Autism Foundation. This foundation understands those in need and offers support to fellow children like Jackson. I am making it my mission to run alongside this amazing foundation in hopes to spread autism awareness and raise money for those in need. It would mean a great deal if you could help me on this journey to raise $2,500 for this great cause. Any amount is much appreciated!
