In July 2012, six women from Ann Arbor, Michigan are swimming the English Channel to increase awareness of ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) and raise money to find a cure. They are attempting a two-way crossing and their goal is to break the current world record of 18 hours 59 minute.
Emily Kreger , a First Year Resident in General Surgery at the Detroit Medical Center is balancing a rigorous work schedule with intense training session to prepare for the swim this summer.
Emily needs our help getting to the UK to swim the channel & help raise funds for ALS. Our goal is to raise funds through EK2UK to cover Emily's personal costs for travel, housing, and food for the trip...as you may or may not know, a First Year Resident has $200K+ in student loans and is barely making enough money to not qualify for food stamps.
So here we go... join TEAM KREGER in our efforts to support Dr. Emily Kreger!
