BENEFITING: ARAB AMERICAN FAMILY SERVICES
Dear Community Members,
Last week, AAFS received a call from a Local Hospital requesting assistance to place an Arab (Lebanese descent) elderly man who is in the end stages of Hospice (meaning he's dying) in with an Arab/Muslim family during his last days. He is bedridden and would need a lot of assistance. The hospital will continue to provide hospice care and assist the family.
The man is undocumented and cannot be placed in a nursing home as he is not able to obtain a medical card. He has never married and has no relatives here, according to the Social Worker, but has been in the USA for the last 20 years.
He does have people from the community who visit him at hospital, but we need someone to take him home and give him dignity in his last days on earth. The doctors have stated that he has less than a month or two to live!
We need good-hearted people to take this case on and to know your reward is in the hereafter. We are unsure how long he would be able to stay at the Local Hospital at this time, they don't know what to do with him!
WE have created this fund to support he necessary costs it would take to take care of this man for the next 2-3 months. WE are asking that you donate towards this cause so that we may bring dignity and peace to this elderly man in his last days!
Jazk Allah Khair! Thank You!
