EVENT DATE: Dec 20, 2013
Many elderly, both men & women of all shapes, sizes & culture who are in a care home or care facilities are there for a reason. They are vulnerable and in need of help from people like us. most of them need assistant for clothing, bathing and even help to clean their bottoms. Some of these kind, fragile, sweet people have many friends and family. Some don't have any AT ALL. I do the best I can to lend a loving hand even by donating anything they might can use, such as clothes or even a bottle of lotion will put a beautiful smile back on their faces. Since becoming a caregiver, this position had changed my life in so many ways. i have come to be more thankful for what & who I have in my life. Seeing and hearing that many of these elderly's don't have much but a pair of socks with holes or a thin T-shirt from many years ago. A few of my residents have passed away but their stories and living situation will alway remain in my heart. Listening to some of the people who had nothing but memories of their kids who did not once even bothered to send them a happy birthday wish or a Christmas card. Every day that I walk into my job that I admire so much, I wish I can do more for my residents or any other residents who are in need of help. I don't have a big house or a flashy car, but what I do have a caring heart and a lending hand as I am here everyday doing the best I can. Even one small little thing makes a BIG difference. Not just for them but for everyone else. I would like to go around to different care home and facilities to see who needs what and how I can be a help.
