Roosevelt High School families, friends, and fans – Welcome to our fundraiser page! We are 300 members strong and we support the largest performing group on our campus. Our program includes 2 marching bands, 2 color guard teams, 2 concert band classes, symphonic band, symphonic winds, wind ensemble and 2 jazz ensembles. In addition to Friday night football games in the Fall, the marching band and color guard compete in band reviews across Southern California. After last year’s reviews, our Varsity marching band was promoted and this Fall, will compete in the highest division. We hope to march at Disneyland, a tradition we have been fortunate to experience the last 2 years; note however that in years past, this experience was not possible due to lack of funding. Our goal is to march in the Tournament of Roses Parade and in 2015, we began the process by submitting our first application. Our color guard teams compete in winter guard competitions in the Spring and last year, placed in most competitions and at the Winter Guard Association of Southern California Championships. As you can imagine, it takes many volunteers and a lot of money to run a group this size and participate in these experiences. Your tax-deductible donation will be used towards purchasing instruments and equipment, repairing old instruments, cover costs for transportation and coaches.
