BMLP 2017 Fundraiser
Organized by: Black Movement-Law Project
August 12, 2017
For the past two years, protesters have increasingly taken to the streets to demand justice and accountability. They have hailed “Black Lives Matter” because in so many cases American society shows us how little it values Black life. Like during the civil rights protests of the 1950s and 60s, protestors are subject to arrest and abuse at the hands of law enforcement. Organizers need legal support to ensure they are protected.
Black Movement Law Project was founded by African American lawyers and legal workers who believe that protesters' rights, organizations, and bodies should be protected. We provide:
- Jail Support Trainings
- Know Your Rights Trainings
- Legal Observation Trainings
- Digital Security Trainings
- Facilitation, Strategy, Technology and Coordination.
