Electric Wheelchair for John the Star Polisher
Organized by: Kerry Morrison
Our beloved John Peterson worked for Clean Street from 1999 - 2014, hired by the Hollywood Entertainment District to polish the stars on the Walk of Fame. He was a faithful and conscientious employee. For all those years, he would come to work via crutches and scoot along the sidewalk to do his job. He had been missing a leg most of his life, but it was his choice not to talk much about that or seek help in securing a prosthetic. Now that he is retired, he has a conventional wheelchair to get around but it is clunky. He likes to take the bus to Hollywood Blvd and to the beach. We would like to set him up with a good electric wheelchair to improve his mobility so he can travel anywhere in LA now that he has more time on his hands.
