After 25 years of working with the spinal cord injury (SCI) community, I know how important peer support and social connections are to a full, independent life after injury. And that’s what BACKBONES does – connect people with spinal cord injuries and their families with each other.
Serving on the board of directors of BACBKBONES allows me to stay engaged with the SCI community and the issues faced by my friends and family with SCI.
This past year I was elected president, so I need to lead our board fundraising by example. So Sunday, my wife Margaret and daughter Maddy will join the BACKBONES 5K Run, Walk and Roll.
Please join us in supporting BACKBONES by making a donation TODAY. Your support will make a difference in the life of someone living with spinal cord injury. That’s our promise!
BACKBONES provides peer support and social conncetions for people with spinal cord injury and their families. We've built a peer network through telephone, in-person or web-based connections and encourage growth by the sharing of experiences and ideas. As a host to events BACKBONES creates an inviting atmosphere where people can ask questions, learn from each other in an informal setting and make lasting friendships.
Help us continue our mission and reach people with spinal cord injuries nationwide.
