BENEFITING: YMCA of Greater Cincinnati
One of my favorite things to do as camp director is to meet alumni and ask them what they learned at camp that's been essential for success in the rest of their lives. Some answers include: how to get along with others, the impact of a positive environment, the true nature of God, it's OK to be yourself, public speaking skills, and so many more tremendous outcomes.
But one of my other favorite things to do as camp director is to head down to the blacktop and play foursquare with the campers. Kids from all ages, backgrounds, and foursquare skill levels (!) line up and rotate through squares A,B,C, and D. They talk, cheer each other on, and practice being a good sport when they inevitably get out....and then they get back in line!
Camp offers a chance to experience new things, make new friends, be supported, get interested in the outdoors, and so much more. The impact on kids who wouldn't otherwise have the opportunity can be even greater.
Will you please help me sponsor some campers for a week that will make a difference in their lifetime?
