BENEFITING: Eliza Bryant Village
I am a member of the Board of Trustees of Eliza Bryant Village, the oldest continually operating African American-founded long-term care facility in the United States. This non-profit community for aging adults is located in the Hough neighborhood of Cleveland. Over the last 121 years, Bryant Village Village has evolved into a comprehensive provider of health and well-being programs along the continuum of care for seniors, who are among the poorest in Cuyahoga County.
Our unique programs support the vision and mission to provide seniors with services that help them remain independent, receive the quality care they need and deserve, and help them achieve the highest level of independent functioning and quality of life possible.
I am requesting donations to help us make capital improvements at Eliza Bryant Village. We need to remodel 50 bathrooms in our 175-skilled nursing facility. Due to the unstable economic and health care climate, we do not currently have extra resources to invest in these improvements. My personal fundraising goal is 10,000 and I am asking you to give what you can. I am joining forces with colleagues and Board members to raise $25,000 for these improvements. Your gift will be matched dollar for dollar by The Higley Fund, a supporting organization of the Cleveland Foundation.
Thank you for your consideration of this important request.
